29 Life-Saving Tips They Didn’t Teach You At College Orientation

REPOSTED FROM:
BuzzFeed Staff

Campus life can be stressful sometimes. Here’s how to look after your mental health the right way. We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed Community and a few mental health experts to share the best ways to take care of yourself in college.

Whether you’re dealing with issues like depression or anxiety or just want to protect yourself against the overwhelming thing that is college life, here is everything you need to know about taking care of your mental health on campus.

And quick heads-up: These tips are great places to start thinking about and taking care of your mental health. 4 Reasons Why Networking is Difficult, and Solutions for Making it Easier

BOB MCINTOSH  |  July 21, 2016

Alas, college students are generally good at spotting web trends. It’s also important for them to know how to use the web effectively and to their advantage, especially as a college student who might need to ace an exam and perfect their study habits in order to gain passing grades for expensive courses.

Therefore, give these 21 websites that are either growing in popularity or already well known and highly useful a try..

I’m no Bill Gates or Richard Branson, but I still manage to get everything done (usually within a reasonable amount of time) and still have time to play hard, too. That being said, between organizing a charity fundraiser, managing my client load, training for a half marathon, editing my book, and completing my research, sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed.

I’m probably not the only one who feels like this when there’s a lot going on.

Instead of freaking out, which is usually my first inclination, I do the following to keep my day on track and my mind ready for what’s next.

How to plan for a busy week {college students}

The past few weeks, and this week, of grad school are what I call ridiculously busy. You know those weeks when you have something to do, some assignment due, some meeting scheduled, some obligation on every single day of the week?! That's how it's been recently. In undergrad, I had to learn how to handle these weeks in order to survive and be successful in school and other areas of my life.

Currently, I'm taking 12 hours, working part-time off campus, involved in a nonprofit organization, lightly involved in a few campus organizations, working for my own company, blogging, and maintaining a healthy social and eating lifestyle.

This is how I handle busy weeks during school.
